Anna Kournikova

At the age of 13, Anna Kournikova was hailed as Tennis’ greatest child prodigies.  Winning tournament after tournament, Anna finished her junior career as the Junior European Champion and ITF Junior World Champion Under 18.  Beginning her professional career at the age of 14, Anna became the youngest player to ever participate and win at a professional event. 

Anna’s skills and body type has made her one of the best doubles players in the world.  With partner Martina Hingis, the duo was able to claim the 1999 and 2000 Australia Open Doubles Championship.  They also came in second in the French Open losing to Serena and Venus Williams.  Anna was also able to break the top ten in the tennis rankings, coming in at #8 in 2000.  She was also ranked the #1 doubles player in 1999.  She ended her career with a doubles record of 200-71. 

After a series of injuries, Anna decided to retire from tennis in 2003.  Though Anna was well known for her great tennis skills, she was more widely known for her beauty.  She was noted in many prestigious magazines as one of the sexiest tennis player to ever play the game.  Anna was names one of People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” in 1998, 2000, 2002, and 2003.  She was also voted as the hottest female athlete by ESPN and placed at #1 Sexiest Woman in FHM’s 2002 “100 Sexiest Women in the World”.  Her modeling career has been the rave of news media and will continue to be for years to come.
